About Us

Greenlight Management Group was established by Shane Callanan in 2020, although his journey began back in 2000 while still in school in the Bay Area. His fascination with cannabis and cultivation prompted him to deepen his knowledge, which ultimately led to a role at one of the Bay Area's foremost Horticultural/Hydro Supply retailers, Plant it Earth.

Shane's passion for cultivation evolved into an obsession as he was exposed to the practices of legacy cannabis producers and their personalized strategies. With expert knowledge of hydroponics, organic soil production, and top-quality genetics, Shane's career trajectory took him from the Bay Area to the lush Humboldt Hills. Here, he absorbed and put his extensive knowledge into action by managing, designing, and supplying large-scale cannabis operations.

As his family expanded and new industry opportunities beckoned, Shane embarked on a journey with Hydrofarm, the largest hydroponic wholesale supplier of its time. West Coast saturation and emerging markets presented a fresh opportunity in Philadelphia, where he managed Midwest sales, including Michigan. As the medical cannabis market flourished in Michigan, Shane saw a chance to return to his roots in cultivation and made the move to Ann Arbor, MI.

With eight additional years of hands-on cultivation and sales experience, Shane became fully immersed in the cannabis space. This rich background laid the foundation for a pivotal moment in 2020 when he combined his two-decade-long career with Greenlight Construction.
